The Story of the Rebuilders Logo
The journey of ‘Rebuilders’ began at our first ever Camp Timothy, and that also became the genesis of our first logo. The ‘steering wheel’ represented our mission in guiding young lives towards finding the purpose God had set for them!
As we moved on with various missions that God gave us, He also gave us the desire to come up with a ‘graphic identity’ that will go parallel with our mission and the name that God had given us! And as we prayed and discussed, HE revealed to us one word: Plumb Line!
Now, what is a plumb line?
We read about this instrument being used or referred to quite a few times in the Word of God. Plumb Line is a cord weighted with lead that is used in building to check that vertical structures are true. Spiritually, it symbolized the standards by which God will rebuild his people. We knew, this was God giving us a clear reference for our logo.
Next, we turned to the Scriptures, and God led us to Zechariah 4: 9, 10
Zerubbabel is the one who laid the foundation of this Temple, and he will complete it. Then you will know that the Lord of Heaven’s Armies has sent me. Do not despise these small beginnings, for the Lord rejoices to see the work begin, to see the plumb line in Zerubbabel’s hand.
Yup, this was God imbibing His mission for us in simple words – something that HE had already been helping us do, but this Word for us was also prophetic in nature, and in the process, our LORD was clearly telling us to use that as our graphic identity!
And finally, what do we have?
A logo that reveals God’s Mission for us, His prophetic words over us, and more importantly ordained by Him! [Scroll down to see the meaning behind the logo imagery]
